Bylaws

If CC&Rs cover the "what" of the HOA, the bylaws cover the "how".  Our bylaws establish the structure of day-to-day governance of the Bedford Estates Homeowners Association.

  • Frequency of HOA elections
  • Process for nominating and electing new Directors
  • Number of Directors and Officers that serve at one time
  • Length of terms
  • Meeting frequency and quorum requirements
  • Duties and responsibilities of Directors and Officers

Bylaws are updated when state laws governing HOAs are enacted or when the Board of Directors makes operational and administrative changes.

The BEHA membership approved updates to these bylaws with some minor clarifications at the membership meeting at Woodland Heights Baptist Church on 11/13/2018 and they are effective as of 01/01/2019.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the BEHA membership approved updates to these bylaws via an emailed virtual Homeowners Meeting conducted using videos by the President, Vice President and Treasurer and voting that ended December 20 via a google survey.  They are effective as of 01/01/2021.

The following draft of amended bylaws were presented to the property owners for approval via an on-line ballot in September 2022.  These changes were necessitated by mandatory Tx state laws governing HOAs. Said ballot allowed for input from property owners.

These amended bylaws incorporate input from property owners on the above ballot and mandatory changes by TX law and were subsequently approved by the Board on April 11, 2023 and filed with Tarrant County in May.
